Sympathy for the Devil

Wow. I'm... proud of something for once. O_o; The process to making this picture was a long one: I was trying out some scratchboard and decided I liked what I had drawn, which happened to be Ivan Isaacs of Priest fame surveying a village being burned and zombiefied. Don't know what Priest is? Hardly anyone does, which is a sad, sad thing; it's possibly the best series of graphic novels that I have ever read, and its art is unique and excellent, its characters are twisted but lovable, and its story is complex and well-told. Its author is Min-Woo Hyung. Do yourself a favor and read it. :3

Anyway, scanned in the scratchboard and while touching it up in Photoshop, I decided to invert the colors... which made me think to color it, and I tried out new things... (Although I use Photoshop a lot, I hardly ever use it in conjunction with my own work.) And, well. I'm actually proud of the results.

Coloring on the coat is kind of funky, and the cloudy background could do with more. But... yes. <3 Ivvieee.
